What planet are you from?

October 29th, 2007 by jeffgoh
You Are From Jupiter

You are exuberantly curious - and you love to explore newness.
Enthusiastic and optimistic, you get a kick out of stimulating intellectual discussions.
Foreign cultures and languages fascinate you. You love the outdoors, animals, and freedom.
Chances are you tend to exaggerate, so try to keep a lid on that.
If you do, you’ll continue to be known for your confidence, generosity, and sense of justice.

Busy busy busy

Back for updates from me again. Well been quite busy recently in which I also not too sure why and what I have been busy with. But nonetheless back for update you bloggers again.

Recently quite a few things pop up to the extend I also forget what the are the things but to name some in which I still remember should be as follows:
- going to one of the pub call ‘Loof’ with my colleagues in which in my opinion I think that place not really that good,
- busy practising my last few driving lessons before my TP at the end of the month,
- going down to HTA to help out with some admin stuffs,
- attended my appointment ceremony as HO at SPOM,
- attending one of my colleague’s wedding dinner,

And I think the last one should be the gathering I had with my close buddies yesterday after work. I had to rush to 3 taxi stands trying to find a taxi but to no vain hence had to walk quite a distance away to the main road before I could get a taxi to this place call ‘Giraffe’ just to say HI and BYE to 2 girls who are leaving early before the rest of us heading to ‘SPYDER’ for their round 2 whereas me is just only the first round for some drinking session. The place there quite nice and they even have a KTV system for customers to place their pick to sing.

Below shall be some of the pictures taken for the past few functions that I’ve went.

What Kind of Breakfast Are You?

October 15th, 2007 by jeffgoh

You Are Cereal
Playful and lighthearted, breakfast is likely your favorite meal of the day.
(In fact, you’re probably the type who sneaks cereal as a midnight snack.)
Your culinary skills are probably a bit lacking… and you are a sucker for junk food.
Some people accuse you of eating like a kid, but you prefer to think of yourself as low maintenance.

Segregation

September 14th, 2007 by jeffgoh

Without realising my long period of 10 days no need to go back to work is having its countdown to 2 more days as I’ll have to go back on this coming Monday to face all those people whom most of the time can make your day down.

Surprise that I had 10 days of no working but just using 4 days of leave?? Actually the reason is quite simple as I actually had apply leave on 4 days on separate days but who knows that just nice in between I needed to attend a course for 4 days and adding on to 2 off days in which total of 10 days. But for the initial stage its quite tiring.

Its because last Friday after my night shift on Thursday, I had to rush down to school to settle some admin stuffs in the late morning followed by going down to pulau ubin for a 3D2N camp. As a result I do not have enough rest and hence was abit of having running nose in the nights.

Then after returning back to mainland on Sunday, then I need to attend this Unarmed combat course in which they called it control and restraint at HTA on Monday till Thursday. Though I already learnt some of the tactics during my NS days but its quite difference. In NS, we learnt how to attack but for this course which is under the police, we learnt how to defend. But really enjoyed the progress and managed to pass the course with a certificate and a badge, Police Defensive Tactics (PDT).

This is the PDT badge which is earned with hard work and sweat.

Following which then this coming Saturday need to attend my so call disciple whom had been calling me shifu which means teacher for many years wedding reception. Well another blissful people around me has find his/her right partner has tie the knot. So wonder who will be the next one to ring the wedding bells.

Think I’ve write slightly much hence again its time for me to stop and catch some rest before I turn into a panda for tomorrow or rather should I say later photo taking.. LOlz

Could You Be Violent?

August 25th, 2007 by jeffgoh

There’s Not a Violent Bone in Your Body

You’re cool and collected, even when someone really gets under your skin.
And while you don’t blow up when you’re angry, you know how to express your anger calmly.
You don’t bottle emotions up or let them get out of control. For you, violence would never be an option.

Resuscitation

August 20th, 2007 by jeffgoh

"Hello, hello are you OK? Help get someone to call this blog owner for resuscitation"

Well reason being that its being a long time since I last blog dated 17th Jul. Actually the actual fact is that I being kind enough to let all those wandering spiders whom don’t have a place to spin their spider webs can just drop by at my blog to spin their webs at no cost at all.. Haha to think that I’m able to come out with such a lame excuse to cover myself for being plain lazy. But anyway I do admit that I’m lazy at times to come in to blog as I’m starting to don’t know what to write in here.

Anyway I’m now back again to revive my blog again after being bombard by lots of people asking me for updates and updates.

Hmm life for me still the same just that recently I’m able to relax my pace abit as for the past few months, I was either working or having to go for my trainings to exercise. But my trainings have already finished so now is back to the normal again. Then for the past few days after work was staying at home to rearrange and did some spring cleaning my room as my brother was shifting some of his furniture over for me. So its was shifting my things here and there to see which positions would be better.

As for work wise, when I finally able to countdown of me being roster doing train cycle but alas I was greeted with a news that there’s a new understudy assign under me to teach for a month. Haiz and that’s it, there goes my longing for my train roster. But overall come to think of it, instead of only being able to relax for one cycle, now once my understudy is able to grasp the hang of it, instead of one cycle now is relax for a few weeks. So overall I still get to gain some out of it.

Well think I may have sort of write too much in this entry so shall stop at here for the moment and also time to meet up with my zhou gong for tea session as I won’t be able to meet him tonight due to work. Again shall not to let the lazy monster win the battle and will come in often to update.. keke

"A chronic lack of pleasure, of any enjoyable, rewarding or stimulating experiences, produces a slow, gradual, day-by-day erosion of man’s emotional vitality, which he may ignore or repress, but which is recorded by the relentless computer of his subconscious mechanism that registers an ebbing flow, then a trickle, then a few last drops of fuel–until the day when his inner motor stops and he wonders desperately why he has no desire to go on, unable to find any definable cause of his hopeless, chronic sense of exhaustion."

A spider and a farmer’s son

July 16th, 2007 by jeffgoh

A farmer’s son watched a spider building its web and asked his father, “Father, why does the spider weave fabric that never yields clothing? It’s work is complex, but to no purpose.” His father did not reply. Years later, the son had grown up to a young man and was enlisted into the army. In one battle, the enemy soldiers pursued him into the mountains. Two of the enemy soldiers spotted him as he climbed up the mountains. In desperation, he sought refuge inside a small cave.

He was invisible from outside, but once if the soldiers entered, they would surely see him and kill him. As the young man crouched helplessly, a spider began to spin its web across the mouth of the cave. Soon, its was weaving its web back and forth across the opening. Then the young man heard the soldiers’ voices outside the cave. One said, “Maybe he is hiding inside this cave.” Another said, “Don’t be a fool! Look at that spider web; no one has been through that opening for days.” The soldiers climbed on.

At that moment, the young man realized that he had found the answer to his question.

Moral of the story

Never underestimate the work that we do everyday. While the spider had saved the young man from danger, the work that we carry out everyday directly/indirectly contributing to the safety and economic of everyone in Singapore. Every small act counts and must be guided.

Are You An Optimist or Pessimist?

June 20th, 2007 by jeffgoh
You Are a Realist
You don’t see the glass as half empty or half full. You see what’s exactly in the glass.
You never try to make a bad situation seem better than it is…
But you also never sabotage any good things you have going on.
You are brutally honest in your assessments of situations - and this always seems to help you cope.
